Top Gun Labradors was established in 1986. We are a small hobby kennel located on a three acre farm in
Ridge, NY. Our first dog was purchased from White Oak Kennels. At that time we were competing in Hunter and
Jumper classes with our horses. We just wanted a pet. After attending a couple of dog shows we were hooked.
That meant no more horse shows. We purchased another dog from Venetian Labradors and began Top Gun
Labradors.
Our goal is to develop the Labrador for what is was bred for. We continue to compete in AKC events including
show, field and obedience. The dogs in our breeding program must pass health certifications for hips, elbows and
eyes first before considering breeding. Each dog is carefully selected for structure according to the AKC Breed
Standard. This standard includes temperament. Our puppies are raised in our home. They are trained for the field
at a young age and then for the show ring.
We continue to strive for Excellence which includes temperament, structure and function.
